New Forum Mascots - COMPLETE!

Hi everyone!

I am looking to introduce two new mascots for Tgforums, a boy and a girl gamer, and I'm looking to you guys for help. These mascots will replace Tgchan on Tgforums logos and banners. If you're an artist or you have a good eye for character design, you can be especially helpful but any kinds of suggestions or ideas are welcome! And, if we want to name the mascots, name suggestions are good too

I will be getting the characters commissioned (drawn by an external artist) so references, and details are useful. And since the mascots are here to represent Tgforums and us, I think it's fair to turn over the ideas to you guys and see what is popular.

Wow exciting! Any themes/colors you like or wish to incorporate? Should they be complementary to each other (i.e. Rin and Ren Kagamine from Vocaloid) or more opposites to each other?

I'm open to anything, but it should involve the Tgforums logo (White T on dark blue) so it could probably work from that. Some elements of gaming to give them the feel of 'gamers' would be good too e.g. headsets?

So in terms of a request we need to come up with some details on the characters.
Here's some thoughts to brainstorm on..

* What kind of personality do they have? Are they shy, competitive, relaxed?
* What do they like to wear?
* Do they have a defining feature, or something unique about them?
* What kind of hair do they have? What color?
* What color eyes? Skin?
* If they had a motto, what would it be?
* How would the mascot characters interact with each other?

I had the idea that they could be super casual, as gamers tend to be, and wear hoodies with the Tgforums logo on it in the middle like this SK hoodie:



Gaming headsets would look cool, and maybe one of the characters could wear glasses too.

Ahem... This may be a stretch, but I think it'd be cool if they didn't have a 'static' personality... For example, what if we had several forum banners that change randomly and reflect different 'moods'? One could have them just chilling or playing games or something, another could have one of the characters trying to pull an innocent prank on the other or something etc.

I understand this would increase the amount of work the artist would need to do and as a direct result the price of the commission... But it's just an idea!
